On Thursday, May 31, 2018, Hospital District #6 had their annual board meeting at Chaparral High School. Several items were on the agenda including a slide presentation, an auditor’s report from BKD, updates on the new Patterson Health Center project, and an election of open board positions.

The slide presentation presented by Pat Patton – HD6’s new CEO, highlighted staff activities, HD6 community involvement, specialty services, future innovation items such as hydrotherapy, and Patterson Health Center construction updates. One of the slides showed HD6’s outreach of 30 different towns which resulted in 15,599 patient encounters during the past year. Another slide detailed the growth of their annual health fair compared to the previous year. Three HD6 board positions were up for election – position #5 (Martha Hadsall, re-elected ), position #6 (Lisa Mathes) & position #7 (Lee Cox, re-elected). Position #6 was held by Lisa Mathes who resigned her role and Caleb Ediger was elected to take her spot. The HD6 board now consists of Martha Hadsall – Chairman, Kimberly Schrant – Vice-Chairman, Jan Lanie – Secretary, Lee Cox – Treasurer, Dennis Roberts – Member, Alan Patterson – Member, and Caleb Ediger – Member.

Before the voting, Martha Hadsall presented Lisa Mathes with a plaque thanking her for her dedication to the Harper County Healthcare Project and her contributions to the Hospital District #6 Board. Lisa will remain on the HHD5 Board until December 31st in which that Board will expire.

Pat Patton and the Board thanked everyone for their attendance and continued support. Once the meeting adjourned, attendees picked up HD6 give-a-ways including rally towels, cups, and informational handouts.
